Dr. Jennifer Holliday has helped establish this scholarship in memory of Yolanda Denise King, the eldest child of Martin Luther and Coretta Scott King. Ms. King was an agent for change and an actor. To honor Ms. King's legacy, Dr. Holliday is awarding two scholarships to deserving sophomores in the Atlanta University Center (Spelman College, Morehouse College, Clark Atlanta University) to help with their cost of books yearly for up to 2 years. The application is open to students majoring in any discipline, but has a passion for the fields of social sciences and the arts. 


Completed and submitted application materials must include

*   Student Application with Essay and Unofficial Transcript, and

*   Reference Form filled out by a college professor


This award will be disbursed in March 2018 for selected candidates and renewable for the 2018-19 and and 2019-20 school years.
